Amir ElSaffar - Two Rivers

A fragment of Amir ElSaffar’s world into this disc.
Two Rivers show us the two souls of this Iraqi-American trumpeter, his love for the Iraqi Maqam and his creative vision of impro-jazz.
Here you can find microtonal impulses melted into traditional Arabic music, the spiritual message of ancient melodies combined with modern sound techniques.
The Tigris and Euphrates rivers recover peace by means of music.
