With no doubts Loose Torque is a very interesting label: refined albums of true free improvisation issued, excellent names of this scene as contributors.
However, this release slightly differs from others because of the players' skill to transmit sensitiveness and pleasure to the listener.
Dunmall’s saxophone, supported by double bass of Nick Stephens and drums of Tony Marsh, succeeds to transport us into delicate, intimate atmospheres.
What connotes the four tracks is a sense of quiet, an intent to play calmly even though the rhythm increases ("Coming Round"), an introspective research through the expanding sound.
