Kyle Bobby Dunn - Fragments & Compositions Of Kyle Bobby Dunn

Kyle Bobby Dunn is a young man (born in 1986) who composes music since 2000.
He is also active as sound artist (several awards received during this period of activity) and we remember him for “Six Cognitive Works” issued by Kning Disk in 2007.
A few months ago he conceived this collection of six tracks, built using fragments recorded in various locations in the last years (universities and art centers), keeping the main scheme adopted in the previous disc.
Pieces based on entwined violins (“Miranda Rights”), distant tones of piano (“Tout Voyeurs”) or echoing organ chords (“Furthest From It”).
A recurring drone structure, abandoned in the last track, “Sedentary (2nd Movement)”, which offers a simple piano solo composition, free from further elaborations or manipulations.
Therefore, most of the album consists of delicate atmospheres arisen from processed sounds, with an occasional appearance of field recordings.
Dilated images, sometimes almost faded, coming from the notes produced by classically trained musicians.
If you like all this, you could consider “Fragments & Compositions” a nice work.
