Originally conceived as installation at the Media Art Institute in Amsterdam in 2007, placing radio transmitters into the building which emitted sounds and spoken messages, “Radio Flirt” became a CD according to the intentions of Brandon LaBelle (soundartist and writer) and James Webb (South African composer) to let the listener fit these recordings to his own environment.
For this purpose, the work consists of five pieces whose titles recall different house spaces and having environmental recordings as basis structure with additional insertions of voices (mostly recitative) which frequently lay upon them.
Perhaps you can be transported by this sonorous and narrative flux, perhaps you can shake your imagination and use this material as a tool to give a new shape to your spaces.
